Artistic freedom occurs when a relationship has successful history. Such was the case with Robert Altevers Associates, architect & designer for PGA West Private Clubhouse, Palm Springs. About six months out from completion the head designer for Altevers Associates, Becky Pollock, walked me through the construction site. The main entry lobby wall was given to me to create "anything you want, as long as it's related to GOLF". Immediately I knew I wanted to create a true pointillist art piece using, of course, golf tees. After locating raw wood tees around 50,000 were painted one of the twenty seven colors chosen for the palette. Later diptych panels, 4'x7', of a specialty product were filled with 47,000 individually painted golf tees and a golf ball! Thus, "High Tee", was created and still hangs in the clubhouse. Dinah Shore said she "loved all those individually painted tees".

The best part was the Scottish High Tee Party. Invitees were asked to pound their own hand painted tee into a small, unfinished area of the art work. This is the ultimate in a branding experience.
